Leaking Shock after cleaning with pressure wand - need some help please

Just bought a Tundra and guy I bought it from took it hunting just before and was driving through some tall weeds. When I received the vehicle - I took it to the carwash to clean the undercarriage (with wand) to remove the mud/weeds (near driver-side shocks).

A day or so after cleaning - there were a few oil-spots near my driver-side tire. Turns out the shock is leaking from the bottom and exactly near where I was cleaning (where weeds were jammed in). I cleaned it pretty good with the wand - so wondering what may have happened and if the water pressure did something to the bottom of the shock/seal.

Can anyone comment on whether the entire shock needs replacing or if there's a quick fix here?

You need a new coilover, was already leaking and you noticed it because of the cleaning. Not due to cleaning it.

 

Yeah the seals blown. You need to replace both sides. The seals are most likely bad all the way around if they were all replaced at the same time. Now is a good time to do any suspension upgrades if you were planning on it.
