Nice! I have a SeaDoo Sportster SCIC (15'4", 215hp) but looking to get a bigger boat in the 19'-20' range. How do you like the Yamaha?

In my crosshairs are the AR192/AR195, a Scarab 195HO, or a nice older SeaDoo Speedster 200 if I can find one.

Honestly... eh. I mean I like it. It's fun and pulls people behind the boat well. The seating capacity is exactly what it says, you can't push the weight or it doesn't move. Any tiny thing in the impeller.... it won't go. And I mean tiny.... if I had to do it again though I couldn't thinking another boat that price that would be better. Maybe jet skis next time for me. Lol

Thanks for the info. We considered going with two 3 seater waverunners instead of a bigger boat. They both have their positives and negatives. I have been leaning toward another bigger boat though.

One thing that steers me away from the Yamaha's jet boats are the lack of power. The 192 and/or 195 have the supercharger and they still only have 210hp. My SeaDoo isn't even 16' long, 4 person cap, and it has 215hp. The 20' SeaDoo Speedsters have 310, 430, or a rare 510hp! The Scarab 195HO has 250, I think same with the Glastron, which is priced closer to the Yamaha's. The Scarabs are a bit more, and it's hard to find a nice used Speedster that wasn't abused.

I don't like cruising real fast, but I like the extra power to get on plane, tow, and corner with some to spare.

Luckily for you with the Yamaha you have the clean out plugs to clear your clogs, the SeaDoo/Scarab don't , you would need to get under the boat to clear the obstruction.

Yes there are clean out plugs on the top rear deck. However... there Is the little spot under the boat that sucks the water through.... that gets the seaweed crap wrapped around it. I had to pull the boat out of the water the other day to see the underside because there was nothing in the upper plugs. It was a stand of seaweed. literally A STRAND! Sucked. Pulled the tiny little piece out... put her back in the water and bam all better.

Ahhh bummer. What a hassle for something so small. Fortunately I haven't had any issues with clogs, yet anyway, but I'm site that can change.

Ok, on with the "ladies" thread. . . . :tumbleweed:

my very first 4x was a datsun 720, then i went toyota and never looked back. i have had two fords 4x4s and won't make that mistake again. i could see doing a duramax. but only because toyota is dead set on cruelly taunting us with the hopes of a diesel that will never happen

I bought a new 75 F-100 reg cab short wide bed 4X, 360 V. A total dog. The librarian at my girlfriends high school (who hated my guts because I'd sneak into basketball games, girl friend was a cheer leader at rival highschool)T-boned my dumb ass mistake of a Ford truck. Almost knocked me into the Umpqua River. Totaled it. I bought a 76 Bronco with 302. Actually liked it. Hauled ass. Put on Hooker Headers the next day after I got it. Also got pulled over by an Oregon State Trooper testing out the non mufflered headers. Molly, my girlfriend, drove a souped up 56 Ford. Liked horses, dirt bikes, match shooting, and drive-ins like me....heh heh. I always wondered what happened to her.......

We go to Havasu a few times a year.

But we are in SoCal (San Diego) a lot. It's only 2.5 hours from us and getting out of the Arizona desert heat is nice!
