Hi all, for a while I noticed my driver side has a lean to it. Others have told me this is normal. Even after a Fox 2.0 lift, the lean persists.

Other owners have told me they installed a coachbuilder shim? Where? On the driver side strut assembly?

What's been your guys experience by fixing this! Thanks

A shim under the drivers side coilover works. If you have adjustable coilovers you can adjust it out that way.

Normal Toyota truck tendency, natural lean on the drivers side. It gets exacerbated with any lift. I’ve run into the same thing with prior Toyota trucks and lifts. There is an add-on shim on the front drivers but I could never fully get rid of the lean. Just lived with it.

My uncle had 2500HD lean on driver's side when he was in the seat. This isn't just toyota thing, just driver's extra accessories that need to be exercised out of their body.

Yes…well documented here…there is a 1/4 spacer that will clean up the 1/2 of lean. Or it might be a 1/2 inch spacer for 1 inch of lean…I can’t remember. I added the spacer when I swapped in 6112s and leveled my truck.

I have stock suspension and I don’t notice this.

It’s not noticeable with stock suspension. Higher the lift the more obvious.

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
The driver side includes extra weight from more than the driver. There’s also the fuel tank and the battery.

On my truck; Replacing the stock plastic 28g tank with the transfer flow 46g steel tank made the lean considerably worse. Not only did I add a couple shims on the driver side coil, I also replaced the rear leaf springs with custom Alcan springs that are 9 leaves on the driver side and 8 on the passenger side. Ride is perfect
