I'm looking at upgrading to the 2.5 Kings adjustable coilovers and shocks, 2016 double cab. I was wondering if it's a bad idea to get adjustable ones for only the front. Doing both front coilovers and rear shocks adjustable is 3800+ and is gonna be too much for me. I could manage front adjustable and rear standard, though. Would the rear shocks benefit more from being able to change compression settings?

    Too many mods to come

I would ask how do you use the truck? Are using it heavily offroad etc?

I ordered Fox 2.5 Performance Elite DSC Front and Rear for $2900. They are dual adjustment. Kings are single adjustment. The ones I got where the 2" max lift. They make a 3" but needs UCA.

Good question. I would almost steer you in the reverse direction. Getting adjusters for the rear only vs front if you had to pick one. Adjusters can be a great way to compensate for added weight. If you load up with a lot of gear and go off-road, towing etc those would be good scenarios to make compression changes. However, if you do not see yourself making adjustments, its not essential to have them just an added value/feature. Just keep in mind its very very $$$ to add them later.

The new style Kings are pretty slick. Not sure if you were aware the new style comes with finned reservoirs now:
