King all the way. Good folks and they will help you out with any questions. Fox can be hit or miss in warranty and help department. Plus there stanchions aren't as tough as Kind or ADS. ADS another one to look at they make badass suspension.

Fox components are better than King’s across the board. Not hard to find breakdowns online looking at the two.

But at the end of the day for bolt-in daily drivers that see the occasional dirt road there’s no really difference. Except maybe Elka shocks, those seem to be a step above any other oem replacement

That's a tall order, in truth Fox doesn't really give a shit about their customers bottom line. Dealing with Fox right now and very unimpressed.

Their customer service isn’t as good, and that’s a big deal for a lotta people. But for durability and better parts fox has it.

I would say King is just as good as Fox. Only flaw I could see in coil since they use their own. Fox works great when it works. Fox sucks when it doesn't.

Fox. Love my 2.5s....why the upgrade? Don’t like the pro suspensions?

Fox! I love mine. Great ride. Easy adjustments. Zero issues.

Funny according to the article above it resistant against corrosion. Fox works great when harsh winter elements aren’t a factor. Fox is a great South west suspension set up.

lol I have 30k miles on my truck and I wash it periodically in the winter and it’s in the garage when not driven my springs are orange lol and the shock body is all corroded pretty sad. Oh well when they get rebuilt I’ll have them refinished

My ADS bypasses got destroyed this winter. :bananadead:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/psa-use-protection-wrap-your-shaft.43232/

Oddly enough, my Fox shocks that I had on the winter before looked almost brand new when I took them off...granted 2017-18 winter was pretty mild and the Fox shocks got a coat of Mavcoat.

FOX OEM shocks have been getting built alot cheaper. They have plastic dividing pistons in the resi, which no longer have a threaded hole for setting piston depth when assembling the shocks, they are a PITA to service. FOX customer service is horrible.

I would recommend looking at ADS, they use higher quality components, they have a better seal design which incorporates a 3rd seal for better shaft leak prevention. Their bodies are Zinc Plated with a clear Cerakote, they use high quality hydraulic hoses, they have more travel than the competition, no plastic parts, bronze wear bands on the pistons.

King for me, their customer service has been impeccable. In my opinion, they stand behind their products.

I asked FOX a few simple questions, and didn't have time for me. That seeled the deal..

That is gnarly, ADS shouldn’t corrode that fast. They look like my Alcan springs, another story there. I will be interested to hear what ADS says if anything.

Yea, I was really surprised. I haven't heard of anyone else having the same issue. Maybe a bad batch of plating/coating? Maybe I drove through a puddle of acid down here in the oil fields? Tyler at ADS was quick to get back to me, but kind of just said that corrosion will happen. @M C M told me to give him a shout when I'm ready to rebuild, and he'll work with me on the costs. That's one thing I doubt you'd ever hear from Fox.

What happened with your Alcan springs? I have the U748 pack, but was considering Alcan if I ever did a full custom pack. They're just a couple hours away from me in Grand Junction.
