Keys Locked Inside…

Forgot to take my keys out of the ignition. Then proceeded to start my truck via remote start app, I have the Tech 12 volt remote start with car link app btw. Now the truck won’t unlock when I use the unlock function on the app. Any tips on how to get in? (Side note, I’m 2hrs away from home where my spare key is at)

Call your insurance if you have some sort of roadside assistance. They'll send someone with a tool and pop the door enough to unlock it. Shouldn't cost anything but your time.

 

Unless the keys are turned to the on position, it shouldn’t matter.
Turn the truck back off with the app and then unlock.
Make sure you have a good signal and connection.

 

I didn’t think it would matter either but that’s the only thing I can come up with. I’ve always had success with my lock/unlock function on the app until now.

 

If all else fails, call a tow company they will be able to unlock the truck for ya.
