My 2018 TRD Off-Road Crewmax recently started acting weird. Intermittently when I drive to work in the morning and park my truck, I can't lock the doors with the integrated keyhead buttons even though I'm 5-10 feet away from the truck. This lasts about one minute or so until the lights shut off and it then seems to work. I doubt it's the small battery in the key as my office is at least 100 yards from where I park and I can see the lights flash when I press the buttons even that far away (it's uphill with direct line of sight). This past weekend I replaced the truck battery due to the OEM failing leaving me stuck. The only other thing I've done to my truck was update the ENTUNE Plus firmware with 13TDDANA-DA10_0123.kwi file I found elsewhere on this site 3 weeks ago. My question is whether the Keyhead receiver is affected by or controlled by the ENTUNE software. My entertainment system works just fine. Thoughts?

Did you install led lights anywhere on the truck?

Not even the exterior cargo light? Only time I’ve heard of this is when folks change out bulbs to LED’s personally. I wouldn’t think Entune would have anything to do with locking and unlocking the vehicle aside from the settings you can change, like unlock driver door only or all doors, or the feedback tone. There’s definitely something fishy and familiar about it working after the lights timeout though.

    None....
I have had this happen to my truck. Happens alot when my led construction strobe light is on. If its off never a problem.
