For several months my key kept getting stuck. Everyone avoids our local Toyota dealer (He actually owns EVERY car lot /Make of vehicles. If you go to his service centers for an oil change you'll end up needing a new Transmission, New Breaks & a new roof on your house before you get to checkout for your oil change.

I went to a well known big lock smith. For $50 he looked at it, said it was the Key Interlock relay thing that was JUST above the ignition thing.
he said it released the pin for the key removal + it ran the key fob antenna + it sends the signal for when your opening the door (or something).. He said a mechanic would have to change it.. NOT to mess with the ignition because you'll end up taking it to the Toyota Dealer for ~ Programing ~.
He also sprayed the pin that blocks the Key Release so it would slide easier.

---- When I dropped the truck off with him the Key Fob Worked & the key was stuck.
When I picked it up.. the key NEVER Stuck again, but the fob did not work. (I figure if the antenna connected to it, then the fob wouldn't work)
... SO, I bought a new key interlock relay. Took it to the Import Doc I had used for 20 yrs ( 1/10 the cost of the dealer.. and he replaced my fuel injector 3 times FREE which toyota admited the cover was faulty) ... The new interlock did not fix it...
He's scared to -tamper- with anything saying it might LOCK UP the truck !!
    ...
The key no longer locks (locksmith WD40 ? )
    FOB no longer works. ..
Does the entire Ignition / fob antenna / Interlock combo need to be replaced ??
