Key fob

When I picked up my new tundra Monday they only gave me one key fob and said I would get a letter from Toyota for the 2nd key fob and that I could go to any dealer to pick it up. Is this some new policy? How long does it normally take to get the letter?

No you won’t get a letter. You will get an alert in the app that’s it’s ready. Bought ours at end of November and picked up 2nd key in January.

 

Bought mine Dec. 4, 2023 and still no message. I’m going to dealer Friday for some issues and will ask then. Was told upon purchase that it would be ~60 days.

 

There's a bigger thread on this, but yes you'll get an alert 2-3 months after delivery. The app will let you know you're time in the key queue is done.

Interesting as that’s only a few days after we did. It showed up as a service campaign in our app right before new years. When I first saw this I thought maybe it has to do with what trim you bought, but I see you also got a limited.
