I’m thinking about pulling off the fender flairs... not sure how I feel about it. Figured a poll would be interesting :)

I like them because they keep people from banging their door into the metal in staggered parking situations.

I think I prefer a cleaner look... but again, I’m undecided.

Don’t think so. Came from the factory without it then regional distribution put the package on... that’s my understanding any way. I’ve has them off before and the paint seems no different.

Don’t think so... I think I like the flatter look... she’s already got more curves than a Victoria Secret model

They’re not bad to look at, but I do prefer no flares. Maybe take them off, and if someone happens to ding that part of the truck, put them back on LOL.

Personally I think they are giving your truck a weaker looking stance. They would probably be ok if you had more offset on the wheels.

    I vote to pull them.

I also would not go with larger ones. It will really make the stance look off..

I vote to either get a bigger offset to match up to the flares. But if you're keeping those wheels, pull the flares.

If they prevent rocks and debris from shooting up the side or you plan to get a wider stance, I’d keep them. That’s why I bought, I have a nice scratch from before, and when I look at pics of mine without now, it looks unfinished.

However, if they stick out past the tires, I’d pull them, your mudguards will do the protecting. You might have to polish/wax and blend any differences from UV exposure etc.

Yeah, I’m sticking with these tires until I wear them out. The are inside the wheel well, so I’m thinking I’ll pull them off just before the next time I wash the truck, and roll that way a little while. See how I like it before I see if the market wants them... seems like no one local wants my chrome SR5 grille and bludge lol

Here’s some shots to show offset overhang:

I changed my mind from how I voted. Take them off, looks much better. For some reason, I thought there would be some mounting holes or at least some wear marks from having the on, but if there's no witness marks, I'd say remove them.

I'll do some side shots later for a better look. but minimal issues under the flairs. they are mounted inside the wheel well, reusing the mounting points that hold that shroud and mud flap in place. Nothing on the exterior. It was pretty gross (dirty - dont see any scratches) under there though.

I'm going to hang onto them for a month and see how it goes. Then maybe I'll try to offload them... the wife's getting irritated with all the over sized car parts in the garage (Grille, Bumper corners, now these) lol

IMO, it looks nice with the tread on the inside and the sidewall on the outside of the wheel wells. For your parking issue, just park farther away. Walking is good exercise.

I usually park back from the front spots (leave several empties between me and those that feel required to part in the front most spots) and a few rows toward the middle.
Wife gives me shit all the time: "You couldn't park closer!?" and I respond with what you said: "It's good exercise" or more often "it's probably not going to kill you..." (not a fat joke, we're fairly slender people)

Problem is in areas with limited parking options during busy times (Some times family does lunch after church on Sunday... which apparently is common since the restaurants pack up pretty quick after church..). Or when you think you've parked far enough away, but business picks up and spots fill up to the point where people are parking next to you (happened this weekend).
Also, the wife very occasionally drives the truck.. her parking jobs usually suck (even in her car) and I'm pretty sure her shitty parking is responsible for the door ding I have... She's also one of those "Gotta park in the front" people. She's followed people out of the store to their car to take their spot on several occasions... I'd rather just park further and walk instead of waste the time looking for a closer spot.

Cant do that. I've got little ones that need them to climb in. Wife's got little legs too. Also helps when reaching over to buckle in kids with the shoulder strap. my 2.5yo doesnt quite have the strength or dexterity or whatever to plug it in at that angle yet. Besides, I think I like the looks with the steps. As with all of this, personal preferences lol
