Is this k&n airflow fuel injection filter worth the 10 extra horsepower.

Are you talking about a drop in air filter or the $300+ “cold air” intake?

I would never want anything that injected a file into my engine.

I wouldn’t waste $300+ on a plastic tube, “heat shield” and filter. Get a drop in filter for the OE air box for less than $30. Stay away from oiled filters, they can dirty up the maf sensor and throttle body.

The best advice, is don't put any K&N product on your truck, ever.

And their claim of 10 more horsepower is the biggest lie in the automotive industry.

You could by another box from the junkyard and drill holes in it from the pre-filter side to give more breathing room if you can find one.

All aftermarket performance air filter manufacturers claim some dubious HP gains at high rpms. ALL OF THEM. I've used K&N oiled filters since the mid 70s. Never had an issue.Never...

I put a k&n on my 4.0 strictly for sound. Couldn’t tell u if I gained power and I also don’t care if I even lost power bc it sounds so awesome to me. Loudest intake I’ve heard!
