    What's better 4x4 sport or 4x4 offroad?
I got the sport version why I got it heehee don't really have answer all I know is it's 4x4 and it's a Toyota. I was not really expecting to come home in a new vehicle that day I went to the dealer. :) I had the chance to pick the Platinum edition but just not a big fan of the leather and wood interior but I have to day it drives nice and the JBL audio system was fking good.

I prefer the look of the sport bumper, grill, door handles, mirrors, but did not like the 20" wheels. Easy fix - found a used set of TRD OR 18" wheels on CL and swapped them out. Sport also comes with the TRD Sway bars for better on-road handling - which is where I spend most of my time. I'm not sure if the suspension is different, but I ended up replacing the front shocks to level it out anyways.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with your choice. It's a good foundation and you can make changes to anything you don't like.

You are the 1st person to like the JBL system haha. The stereo is very under powered and probably the #1 complaint about the Tundra on here.

Like said above, Sport is just an appearance package for the most part. Except the shocks and sway bars are tuned for on road vs off road (supposedly). Ive never driven a sport though so I don't know how they differ in actual driving.

I guess I must be the second then, I have no complains of my audio system, I play the radio, cds, and even music from an USB thumb drive, and am very happy with it. The only thing mine does not have is the Nav but I use my android phone for that when i need and from what i hear more people dislike the Navigation itself on their units.

My only complaint is the volume I guess. Seems like when you adjust it only a few bars it doesn't do anything. I gotta run it 3/4 volume most of the time.

Reiterating: They're more of appearance packages, not really performance packages.

Better? I don't think it's a question of good/better/best so much as differences in features. Do you want chrome, or painted accents? Do you want the hood scoop? Do you want a different word on your bedside decal? Do you want a TRD shift knob?

Same for TRD TSS packages in the gulf states, just a different decal & appearance options (and wheels of course).
