Hi guys, Proud new owner of a 2011 platinum with only 57K miles. I love it, but as I was warned the head unit is not up to par with modern phones/technology. I want a drop-in replacement that's going to sound good but there are so many variations of stock stereo/speaker setups over the years I'm just not sure what applies to me. The last time I replaced a head unit was in the flip phone era, just to give you an idea.

For example, I know Crutchfield is full of info but for some reason I find this notice they gave me confusing. What impedance are the stock speakers? I realize I need some additional wiring harness adapters to keep my steering wheel controls, etc. but do I need to get an amp in addition to the head unit??

Also, here are some pictures of my truck because everyone loves pictures.

Factory speakers are 2 ohms. Buy a head unit with idatalink maestro to retain factory amp and steering wheel controls. Crutch field sells a service where they wire the harnesses for you so it's really plug and play when you go to install for $25.
