    There is a factory ground on the drivers fender near the front if I remember correctly

    I have jump started every pos I have owned straight to the battery for the last 24 years and never had an issue.

    Worried about the hydrogen vapor from your battery exploding? It appears it’s more likely to explode just from sitting there than you jump starting it. Not saying you shouldn’t care. Just that I don’t.

    yes. I have a lot of acid corrosion on the battery. I haven’t had to be jumped until today. I think either my ground point by the radiator is bad or the hood latch isn’t very good to ground. My battery is 4.5 years old.
    I have jumped a few others and just went negatives on both batteries.

    Done haha. Ended up with Duralast gold. Wanted the Optima but they were out. Just trying to think ahead for the future. Not a lot of good unpainted places to ground on the 3rd gen.
