Jl shallow sub

Hey everyone, been reading a lot of the builds which have been amazing and makes me jealous, When I was in hs JL was my jam!! Trying to see if this would work in. 2019 trd pro
JL Audio 10W1v3-2 with Sealed Truck enclosure its around $249

any other suggestion if that wont work?

 

I’ve got the 12” I’m about to install behind the seat. Sounded great in my charger. Meh in the Durango. See what it’s like in the tundra.

 

My concern is it fitting properly I think the depth looks ok, how much watts you put to the sub?

 

It would help if you would let us know if you are in a doublecab or crewmax. That changes a lot.

Most everyone (including myself) goes with the JL shallow mount, like the 10tw3's. I ran the jl stealthbox, but ended up selling it and got a box from James Randy Taylor at tech12volt with the exact same speakers but in one of his ported boxes and been really happy.

 

Sorry, I have a crew max, It seems like the box that come with it might work? Im sure sub produces good bass?

 

Are you talking about the stealthbox? That's what I just installed and I love it. Here it is with the stock sub sitting in front of it.

i have a jl audio 10w3 and i was told it would’nt fit. I would have to go with W0 series

 

The stealthbox comes with (2) 10TW3 subs.

Yeah I figured you meant a regular w3 and not a shallow mount. My buddy has a w3 in his 2nd gen and it's in a box connected to his center console and it runs back to the rear seats. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense so let me try and find a pic.

yea those are shallow, not sure if there’s any performance difference?
If not that maybe my only option

 

Shallow definitely don't hit as hard as regular but I am very impressed with how this box and sub combo performs. I would like to sit in a tundra with James box in it to see the difference.
