I have one of these. It’s worked great. Four years and 60k miles with no issues.

Updated design using 3/4” long aluminum spacers instead of the wood. Also put automotive weatherstripping on the bottom where it contacts the bed. Very secure and rattle free. Tonneau cover is the factory tri fold.

I need this setup. How did you exactly mount the can holder on the rail? Does it have that part or you have to built yourself? Can you please help? Thanks much

You'll have to fab a metal piece to attach to the Wavian mount bracket. Get a "t nut" to slide in the rail and use that to attach the support to the rail. Make sense?

Thanks Jerry. I don't have the means to fab any parts, I need a bolt on solution. Cheers

This is the one I got (can & mount) a few years ago from 4Wheel Parts. I bolted it to the molle panel I got from Victory 4X4. The mounted photo is the only one I can find. It’s on the right side behind the fire extinguisher. It works for me. Mount is now $63.99

Yes. I had to get a different spout (flexible) to fit in my gas hole so I can put gas in without making a mess. The spout fits on top of the can. The one that comes with it (straight hard plastic) doesn’t work good. I could only get a little bit of gas in without making a mess.

I took some pictures. The Jerry can has a clip to hold an extra spout/ nozzle. As you see, I put some rags between the can and holder. They come in handy and easy to get to. IMG_7788.jpg IMG_7787.jpg IMG_7784.jpg

I've had an eagle safety can in the back of my bed for 9 years, I've only ever had to use it ONE time. We were towing our TT across Utah and I missed a gas exit and just to be safe I pulled into a rest stop and dumped 5 gallons into the truck (I had 5 cans total because we were using the fuel for the generator too). The eagle can is sturdy and I just run a strap through it, one of those piece of mind things but rarely used IMO.

By fab, you can do it with a cut off wheel and a drill. Or a hacksaw and a drill.

Since I put the supercharger on my Tundra the fuel needle moves down in real time. I have no idea what my gas mileage is anymore on my 38 Gal tank and the ODO fuel indicator is way off course. Now I have the ODB Fusion app and according to it I am getting 240 miles out of a 38 Gall full tank of 93. Not sure how correct that mileage is but I feel the urge to have two Jerry gas cans in the back just in case? For a long trip I would hate it to get stranded and outta of gas :)

    Tastefully enhanced...
With great power, comes great sacrifice! Ha! That's not good at all! With my Maggy1900 and the 535cc injectors, I'm about 5-6mpg off from wjat my dash shows...I've tracked with for 50k miles so I'm confident in its "suggestion : reality" reading. That being said, I'm rocking a strong 12.5-14mpg normal driving and upwards to 19mpg (hand calculated) if I'm towing, I'm in the 7mpg and 100-120 miles per tank...I rock the 26gallon water bottle sized tank, too...use 91 non ethanol fuel and make sure your air filter is clean! Are you rolling on 35s or bigger?

Well those are calculated and not accurate especially with the larger injectors etc. you’d have to hand calculate. I get 16-18 on long trips.
