now that I have your attention (lol)

My baby has been jerking and stuttering somewhere between 50 and 70.
I just had it alligned, the transmission fluid is good, no slipping.
The engine computer says 4 and 8 are misfiring. I am about to replace the plugs.
Should I do anything else to help with the problem?

Swap coil packs around. See if the misfire follows where you put the potentially bad coil packs.

Given you have a cylinder 8, I'm going to assume your engine is the 2UZ-FE and not the V6. Your profile doesn't say, so I'm grateful one of the misfires was on 7 or 8 so we don't need to ask ... (update your profile)

When was the last time the timing belt was changed? How many years/miles ago? Bad timing (off by a tooth) will cause misfires at different cylinders of the same bank. Snapping the belt on your 2UZ can leave you replacing the engine (low interference engine).

When was the last time the spark plugs were changed? How many years/miles ago?

BEFORE you change the plugs, try swapping the coil packs between cylinders 8 and 6, and between 2 and 4. See if the codes change. This will tell you if the coil packs are the problem. If the codes change to cylinder 2 and 6 misfire, replace the coil packs.

Remember: These trucks hate aftermarket coil packs. Denso brand. Don't buy from scAmazon or fleaBay, there are too many counterfeits in the supply chain, scAmazon's warehouses are rife with knockoff products. Purchase at Summit Racing or RockAuto. They have verified supply chains.

Also make sure the high voltage ground (the pad around the bolt hole) is free of oxidation and makes a good solid contact. This is often overlooked, and this is the reason #1 why coils going out.

    It's universal, not Toyota-specific.

Also remove that bolt, pull the coil and inspect the pad. May just take a fine sandpaper and clean everything well, just in case.

I changed out my spark plugs, oil, and air filter.
So far, its running a lot better. the plugs had no major damage from oil but a few of the gaps were valleys which was part of the problem. I did smell a faint touch of antifreeze on the old ones which has me worried.

Thanks for all the uplifting comments.
    I'd say I got a happy ending
