JBL Head Unit Question, just want to play my CDs.

Hello, love the forum. I have had a few Tundras, five I think. The new one is a 2021 Tundra Limited Crewmax that I've had less than a month. My question is, I am not into technology and miss having a good old fashioned CD player. I am wondering if I can switch out my 2021 JBL head unit with a 2014-2019 JBL head unit with the CD player. Has anyone done this? I like the look of stock, so I don't want to switch to some other brand, just want my CD player back. Any thoughts or suggestions on this? Thanks in advance.

 

Looks like the answer is no, at least w/o some type of conversion harness. According to this thread (2019 Head Unit Upgrade? | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)), they changed some of the plugs on back of head unit on the 20+ tundies. While I'm sure some one has made a conversion harness to upgrade 14/19 tundies to 20+, might have a hard time finding one to downgrade.

You should be able to have a remote CD player and bluetooth/usb into your existing HU, but yeah, kind of a PITA.
