2024 Tundra TRD Off-Road Limited Solar Octane
    Hi All,

I just got my first Toyota vehicle this past Saturday. I've had numerous trucks in my life by the big three, but have mostly been an F-150 guy over the past 10 years. I would probably still be an F-150 guy if Toyota didn't have Solar Octane, Ford's pricing wasn't severely out of whack, and Ford using customers as guinea pigs. I'm not R&D, pay me to do it, or fix your stuff Ford.

Been lurking around these forums for a few months now waiting on my Tundra to arrive. I got a 2024 Limited TRD Off Road in Solar Octane with IForce Max engine. Wasn't really looking for the hybrid or the Limited trim, but I had to have Solar Octane, TRD Off Road, and the big gas tank. This was the least expensive of what my dealer had coming in that had all three must haves.

Loving the truck and happy to be here!

I'm looking at both Tundras and F150s. Depends which day of the week it is on which way I am leaning these days.

Sorry folks, been a busy week, I'll post some pics soon. I can say, I looked at my payload sticker today, I know, should've done it prior to purchase, but I was very disappointed to see 1,345 lbs. That's extremely low for a 1/2 ton truck. My son's Taco has 1,100 lbs capacity. My 2019 F150 had 1,750 lbs. Where's the extra capability for $20k more with gobs more power? Anyway, loving the power and comfort thus far, just wish I could wring it out to see the full potential, but darn break in period has me waiting.

The extra capacity is eaten by the features, but Tundras don't have a bunch to start with. Power has litte if not nothing to do with payload. That's more dependent on brakes, cooling, and safety functions, and suspension.

Hopefully that's just shutter roll, and that you don't have a headlight out!

You definitely picked the best color. That looks so much better than it did on the Pro because it doesn't have the over done tailgate. Very pretty truck.

Memario, yes shutter roll, headlights are working fine. Singletrack, Northwest Valley actually, 303 and Happy Valley Rd area. Godzilla, I agree love the color and the truck is very comfortable so far. I also am not a big fan of Pro tailgate. Reminds me of what Chevy did on their trucks 10-12 years ago, not a good look IMO. I'm still just surprised how much attention this truck is getting. Had an old guy in one of our retirement communities follow me into the grocery store parking lot in his golf cart to ask me a bunch of questions about it. Funniest damn thing I've ever seen.
