    That happened a while ago, and is already included included in the latest MacOS release. basically, the iTunes app is retired and it has been split up into 3 separate app: Music, Podcasts, Movies.
    Previously these were all bundled together in one iTunes program on the computer and now they are 3 separate programs.

    Ok so I just found this out because I purchased a new MacBook Pro for my daughter.

    When it comes to her phone, where does it get synced now if there is no iTunes?

    BTW, we don't use the cloud because things have gotten really messed up before so I stay away from it.
