Years ago (10) I did some thing to my 08 Tundra to cause the starter to run on and the engine to “no start” until I turned the ign switch back to the off position. No start but cranking. In other words, starter continues to crank in on position.
Before this happened, I was troubleshooting trailer lights no power.
Any helping me remember what I did and what I need to do appreciated. Bill

Tundras have an auto crank till start thing. The starter turns until the engine starts if the engine doesn't fire you have to turn key off to stop starter

This will also happen if a non chip key is used to try to start the truck. If you use a key not recognized by the immobilizer it will crank but not start. It's a security system. Just a thought in case you tried a spare key or something...
