Issues syncing contacts to head unit - 2020

    Hey guys, just traded in my 07 for a '20 Tundra TRD SS. My phone (Android Galaxy Note 9) paired easily and every feature works fine EXCEPT for Contacts. I have done all of the following:
    Removed Device & Unpaired and tried again.
    Clicked Allow in the appropriate prompts.
    Ensured Access is granted in the BT settings in my phone.
    Tried the Automatically Update and Update Now buttons in the screen.
    Ensured NFC, Phone Visibility, and Bluetooth are all turned on.
    Tried saving contacts to my SIM card instead of the phone and Google.
    Spent 20 minutes on the phone with Toyota tech support.

    Nothing has worked!! I'm really hoping someone else has perhaps had the same issue and figured it out.

    Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

    I was having same issue earlier today as well. Contacts used to be synced, updated and by accident disconnected phone ie removed and re-added and now my contacts won’t sync

    Yes! The last update last week from Android fixed the issue. Very odd still because my wife's worked from day 1 and we have identical phones. But yes now it works. I'm glad you replied, I didn't even think about updating this thread.
