Is Type 4 atf compatible with WS?

    2010 Silver Tundra SR5 5.7L 4x4 CM
    After looking through the service record I discovered my Tundra had the Toyota Type IV ATF exchanged about 35k miles ago before I bought the truck used. I’ve been thinking about getting the fluid either exchanged or drain/fill. It still shifts like a champ but I don’t know the difference between WS and Type 4 atf. Is one synthetic and not the other? Btw, my local dealer uses BG transmission service, is this good or bad?
