Is this a good deal considering the current high prices?

2015 SR5 double cab 4X2 with TSS package with nice off road wheels and tires.

Has 30k miles, TRD Exhaust, TRD Grill and decent aftermarket headlights.. Price is $30,500

I was planning on waiting for a nice 4x4 next gen but Carvana is giving me an extra 3k on my Tacoma(Which no local dealer is willing to match) and this Tundra is priced about 3k lower than most similar spec ones, even locally. I was also planning to do all of the visual mods it already has...

Thinking I could drive it for a year or two while the next gen settles.

That is high IMO. If you can wait these prices will come down. They are artificially high right now

I have a 2014 DC with TSS package. It has 95k miles and is currently worth $24,750 private party. July 4th weekend it was worth $20,500 private party.

Your going to take a huge hit buying at the top of the market and then selling it at trade in next year.

Way too high. That's how much my 14 crew max 4x4 was 3 years ago.

Last week, I got a brand new 2020 (I rarely buy new) SR5 DC SX package 4x2 for $33,046.78 + TTL ($35,500 cash, out the door). All the used trucks were going for much higher than that with 20,000 miles and some were even SR, not SR5.

I agree, the price is high compared to the usual prices, all cars have increased in price the last few months, I am mostly considering it due to the extra $3,000 trade in that Carvana is offering for the Tacoma compared to anyone else, could help offset future devaluation when I trade in for next gen

The only reference point that I have is local dealerships and there is not one car that has the same equipment and miles for this price. Anything around this price is either the barebones Sr with similar mileage or has 90k miles.

Figured I am getting a good deal considering the $2k in upgrades I was planning on doing(TRD grill, TRD exhaust, headlights and color matched bumper). At least considering current prices of local vehicles.

However I will keep searching locally and see if any dealer will try to best that price or perhaps have a 4x4 available for a close price..

looks good and has upgrades you want. a bit on the high side but if you get more for your trade in it evens out I would say.
