    Hello,

New Tundra shopper here. Any thoughts on this 2012 SR5 with 266K miles for $15k would be helpful. The autoCheck doesn’t include any service records, so I am a bit weary. Thought I would get some opinions on it before making the trek over to the dealer.

The truck would be daily drive for 1-2 years before transitioning to a personal work truck. Home renovation type stuff

You're in road salt country. I'd do a significant look at the frame/suspension/bed components. If you're a gear head, fine - if not - have a mechanic buddy take it for a ride with you. Preferably one that's worked on a tundra before.

How many miles do you plan on putting on it in the next 5 years? If it's 20k/year, you might look elsewhere since you don't have service records. If you dont plan on reaching the 300k mark in 5 years, then the truck may be perfect for you (if it passes your "inspection"). It's got 150k more miles than my 2014 just as an idea. I was putting 20k+ initially, now I'm less than 10k/yr. But my truck over the life of it has averaged 16k/yr

Too many miles and too much $ for me to consider. I think you can find a better deal.

Probably about 20-22k mi/yr as a daily driver and then a lot less after. Would be hitting 300k in 2 years

    thanks. I’ll keep looking around
