    Hey all,

Love this site as an information resource.

I was hoping for some advice on a 2005 rclb im looking to buy for my brother.
Its posted for $6500. Has 213,000 miles on it and i think had a transmission replaced within the past 100,000.
Body looks good but there is some underbody rust. How bad do you all think this is and would you all pull the trigger?
    Thanks!

Im concerned with the residue around the radiator fill cap. I'd watch that plastic tank closely looking for a crack.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! In today's world, that is a pretty low price for anything that actually runs. If it runs well, and your pictures show the worst of the rust, you could probably flip it if you don't want to keep it. A little elbow grease to clean up and treat the rusty areas and it might be worth more than you put into it.

    Hey Kelly thank you!

yea i was kinda thinkin the same. I dont think the lbjs or timing belt has been done ever but for the price could be worth putting some work into. The rust had me hesitant though. Thanks for the advice!

If the timing belt has never been done that truck is a ticking time bomb. That's way beyond both the mileage and time for the timing belt. Definitely account for that in your pricing equation.

It probably wasn't done if they didn't adjust the mileage. :monocle: See if they have any service records.

    Welcome from NY.
