Is the -12 offset causing my new tires to rub?

I just got a 2.5" leveling kit on my 2018 Tundra TRD Sport Crewmax. I purchased 18" Fuel Sledge wheels with a -12 offset. I also purchased Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 275 70 18 tires. I went to pick up my truck from the tire shop and they said the tires of rubbing on the bumper and the wheel well. From everything I have read and people told me, the tires should not be rubbing. My question is.... is it the -12 offset that is causing the rubbing issue? If so, if I go down to a 265 tire, will it stop rubbing? Or is the negative offset still going to cause it to rub?

Cut your frame where it rubs and weld some supports in there. That will fix it.

Yes it's the offset. I would change the wheels rather than going with smaller tires.

    That is quite the offset

The +12 might not have rubbed, that -12 definitely will

The only other options they have are +1 and +20 in that wheel. Do you think either of them would keep it from rubbing? Or would I have to get a whole other wheel style?

Also, if I decide to just keep it as it is with the -12 offset, will the tires sticking out cause rocks and debris to hit the side of the truck? If so, what could I do to prevent that?

Just a few, more to come
+20mm should fix it. I ran +18mm with 295s and very very little rub, then went to 35s with only slightly more rub

+1 might be OK with a level, +20 would most likely be safe

As for debris, fender flares will help but my guess is -12 is still too far out and there will still be some hitting the side of the truck
