Well yesterday morning i was on the highway and tried to dodge some road debris, I hit a slick spot and went into the ditch into one of those cable dividers. No one else was involved and I was ok but the tundra took quite the beating as you can see in the photos, still was able to get me home in that condition tho. Im so heartbroken i loved the truck so much. waiting to hear back from the insurance adjuster. Do you think theyll total it based on the damage? The power steering is also out and somehow the head unit got cracked. it looks pretty expensive to me and the truck is a 2016 with 145k.
Part of me wants it to be totaled as i dont think itll ever be the same.IMG_2161.jpg

Air bags deploying on a truck that old with that many miles is almost certainly a total loss

This is very unfortunate, but you are safe. Start looking for a replacement.

A quick update. Talked to the adjuster earlier today. He thinks total loss as well from the photos but wont know for sure until they tow it to get evaluated, which will happen either tomorrow or early next week. I took the chance to clean out my belongings and remove some of my mods, like the rago dash plate and 67 designs phone holder. Ill hang on to them in case i get another second gen if not ill just sell em.

I thanked her for being a good truck and for keeping me safe and gave her pat on the dash haha. even cleaned off the can of red bull that had spilled on the center console, couldnt let her go out dirty like that.

thanks for kind words and input. cheers

I'm sorry to hear about that, but I agree with most on here. Airbag deployment typically means total loss.

Sorry for the loss of your truck.

Out of curiosity, were you in 4wd?

Those cable barriers do a good job of keeping vehicles out of head on situations in the opposite direction lanes, but they sure do a number on the vehicle that hits 'em.
