Is it really too much to ask?

Pandora. Why? WHY? If I select a station calling out 70's era rock, WHY do you insist on mixing 80's rock in? Is it really that hard?


I've had a rough day. This is all I've got to gripe about!

But seriously, it is annoying.

 

I had Pandora and switched to Spotify. I don't miss it.

 

I love Pandora. I've been a subscriber off and on since its inception. I build my own playlists so I guess I've never come across your dilemma.

 

Pandora fan here too. I like Hawaiian music. Ledward Kaapana, Hapa, Dennis Kamakai, Gabby Pahinui etc. Non of that Jamaican crap. Gives me what I want. Amazon music can't figure that out.

I switched to Apple Music it stays to music of the chosen era, plus I like that is has lyrics I can sing along to

 

What did they hit you with? Starship or Devo or something?

 

Was a Pandora fan back in the days of Elpis which could play it commercial free from a basic account. They’ve since looked it down so I’ve gone to other sources

 

Why not make a CD mix? Or hek, what newer gen folk call it an mp3, those can fit like a hundred songs on 700mb cd.

 

Does Memorex, Maxell, or TDX make blank cd's too?

 

I've never been able to get comfortable using Spotify for some reason. Pandora is generally my go-to when I just want something on in the background. They're mostly OK for a free service and generally I don't get too many ads. I make my online playlists on Amazon music - have others on sd cards and such, but new phones are increasingly doing away with those (along with the wired headphone jack ).

As for what they hit me with - late 80's, perhaps even early 90's Bon Jovi. When did "Blaze of Glory" come out - from the Young Guns soundtrack? That was the one that sent me over the edge.

Bon Jovi is pop, and yes, I am usually clawing the radio out of my dashboard to get that noise out of my ears. I understand your frustration for sure.
