Been considering a 2019 Tundra to replace my 09 Tundra DC. Need the extra room with the Crew max for family. Was set on a 2019 4 x 4 TRD Sport Crew Max out the door for $37K and some change. Today dealer said he could put me in a 2019 4 x 4 Platinum Crewmax for 41K out the door.
Is features of the Platinum worth the extra cash?

If i was gonna spend 50+, I had to make sure my wife was comfortable riding shotgun. Meaning power everything for the passenger seat lol

I went platinum and am glad I did. Love the creature comforts. Cooled/heated seats, power folding mirrors, amazingly comfortable leather seats. If I could do it again I’d negotiate in color matched door handles and mirror caps on my platinum. Not a huge chrome fan. I bought them myself and it’s an easy mod, but will cost you $350ish. Also, negotiate in a trd shift knob! The oem one doesn’t feel like it should be on the platinum to me. It just feels cheap.
If your dealer is giving you one at 41OTD that’s unreal. Take it. I’ve never seen one go that low.

Read my mind and I did them same, color match and shift knobs. I also added the black exhaust tip and added front and rear sway bars

Its definitely worth it.I was deciding between 2018 Pro and Platinum ended up getting a loaded limited crewmax in Cement. if Platinum had cement color i would have that right now.Just dont understand Toyota’s color and trim combinations.
Shit why not make a Pro with platinum goodies!

41 OTD for platinum is a no brainer and well worth it over a Sport. However, this all depends on what OP's getting on a trade.
If OP put up some numbers here then I think others can give a better judgment.

Platinum over sports any day however this also depends on what you end up doing with the truck in the long term. Some have regretted getting a fully loaded truck only to strip it down and turn it to over landing or Baja off-roader, an SR5/PRO would be a better choice in this case to build up.

To me, it's worth it. I would get compliments on the interior from the driver at the adjacent pump when pumping gas...I enjoyed the 1794 interior, especially the wood grain steering wheel.

Another option keep the 2009 Tundra V6 SR5 DC 4 x 2 157,000 miles, still runs great, paid off, low insurance, and wait to the next generation tundra. Nice not having a truck payment.. Decisions..Decisions.

With a 4k difference in price I would do it. Actually I already have back in 2017 and am very happy I did. Vented seats are very nice to have in the heat. Tinted windows, a sun shade, and maybe even remote start and you wont even care about you color combinations. I used to have a white car all black interior and I cant tell the difference with my MGM with black interior in AZ summers. Once the sun is beating down and its over 110 it all feels the same anyhow.
Go test drive each one. If chrome really bugs you make sure you can live with all the chrome on the 1794, inside and out. Platinum has much less but still has some. Seats are way more comfortable in the 1794 and Platinum too. If you want to exterior dechrome a 1794, limited, or sr5 you will spend over 2k for the parts. There is a lot to contemplate when it come to trim levels. The more info we have on tastes the better advice we can give, but to sum it up, yes, worth it.

$41k OTD for a brand new platinum? I paid paid that for my used 2015 with 18k miles on it back in 2016. Thats a crazy deal, MSRP is prob $52. The leather quality, heated and vented seats, the seat comfort itself is worth the extra IMO. You could add good heated and vented leather aftermarket for about 3 or 4k but then youre back to even. 37k for a sport is a crazy deal too. Where are you finding these trucks? I'd probably get a 2019 tomorrow if I could get it for 41k
