This whole lifting my truck thing is harder than I thought. Ive read through about 326 different threads on here about which lift to get and I still don't know. I'm pretty sure I want 3" lift in the front but don't know what to do with the rear yet. I tow my camper sometimes so I think I want a little bit of rake but idk how that translates to how much to lift it. My question is that on the Toytec website for their own shocks and for the 5100s they say it will give you a 3" lift but is it REALLY 3"s? Why does every other website say you can get 2.5" from the 5100s but the toytec 3"? How does that work? What exactly all do I need to buy to get a true 3" lift in the front and what do I do with the rear?

Call Toytec and specifically ask for Hugo. He will get you squared away. Ask for Hugo! Good people and knows what his customer needs are and won't over sell...simply tell him what you posted here. There is a modest forum discount on many items year round.

I live in WA so I emailed them to ask a few questions. That was last week and I haven't heard back. I'm still not sure what I want or what I'm even doing so I didn't want to waste some salespersons time. I'm sure those guys are inundated with goobers like me calling and asking the same question 100 times a day. When I get closer to actually spending money I might call them.

Sounds like an excerpt from "things overheard during a plastic surgery consult."

The Toytec Ultimate lift comes with their own designed 5100's with a threaded collar for adjustment as well as a Toytec top mount that is aluminum and about a 1/2 inch thicker than a stock top hat. That will give an easy 3 inch lift.
