iPhone just because I have too many friends that use iMessage. If that ever goes cross platform, I’m heading back to a Google Pixel.

Let’s use this device that’s intuitive, easily connects to its other devices and has utmost security, or this other device that is compromised the first time your check emails.

Having owned many of both, iPhone, for one simple reason:

Customer service. The very few times I've needed support over the last 12 years, you call the same people whether the issue is with iTunes, the phone, the OS that's on it, etc. For the most part, if you own an Android device, good luck calling anybody; the carrier and the phone manufacturer will usually play hot potato w/you.

iPhone only because that is what I get as a hand me down from whenever my wife upgrades hers.

If I had it my way I’d have a Nokia brick or none at all.

Ha! When I set up my Wife's iPhone I removed the "Sent from my iPhone" signature line and added "Sent from my Dixie cups and string" She's never commented on it.

In all honesty, had Nokia teamed up with Apple years ago, we would have a very durable iPhone.

Personal phone: Android. Google Pixel 4a

Work phone: Iphone something or other.

One of them drops calls, glitches out, deletes stuff, has apps that stop working and is completely unintuitive to use. It's not my personal phone.

    A LOT... NEVER ENDS
With programming as a hobby, I have always really enjoyed android. When they deem EOL of said android, we can still flash the latest rom, and keep it kicking strong. If they "limit" us we can flash shit and make it more gooder. My Note 4 is kicking ass and taking names still, I use it as my music google hub controller at home. My phone of choice that got me away from my Note 4 was this Note 10+, going 3+ years strong.

To be honest, iPhone just works.... Cant take that away from them. It just limits people like me who like to tinker and push devices to what they are rated for..

Overall, both android and iPhone are good choices, it comes down to personal preference.

I've owned 5 Android phones in the past, and literally every single one of them has had both software and hardware problems. I've had one hardware problem with one iPhone; and the rest were all questions about software I just didn't know how to answer at the time. LOL

Personal: Android. I have Walmart family mobile and can change my phones whenever, but the androids are always a better sell for what I'm looking for.

Work: iPhone. My iPhone is only used to take pictures of customer's cars and upload them to their workorders...then I complete those workorders on my laptop because the phone is already past its usefulness there.

Just did a quick totally non scientific lab check here. All of us on the technical side of the lab have Androids. Mostly Samsung. The two girls back in admin both have iPhones.....just sayin.....

This is really the correct answer. Whatever does what you like is the one for you.

This is the chicken and egg deal. Sure Apple makes great phones, so do others but you really can't lump Android all together. You can go purchase a brand new in box Android for about $50 or $1,000 one definitely will function better than the other. The cheapest brand new iPhone will set you back $400, there are a lot of good Androids at that price too.

In the end this is a whole Windows/Mac deal with a few of those Linux weirdos hanging around:crapstorm:

I always recommend iPhone or the apple ecosystem for the older family members that are technology illiterate. They seem to work and not have drastic changes from update to update, keeps me from having to write step by step instructions on how to check your email.
