so, i need a spot to ground my inverter. the inverter is mounted in the back of the bed on top of the decked drawers. the bed has line-x'd. the fridge slide is right there but something tells me grounding a 2000w inverter to the slide isn't a good idea. i have 25' of cable to play with so what would be some options? is there a spot on the frame under the bed that might work?

could you go through the holes on the front of the bed and down to the frame?

My second battery is grounded to the frame, no issues. It exits my battery box through the middle center of the box, otherwise I’d take a pic. It was super simple to reach my sander in there, mount the negative cables, then spray paint...16DF5B42-A89F-487A-A465-C9B143030EC2.jpg22E6611A-3ADA-4970-AF5A-865F4CE9A528.jpg 1CC11BFC-C04B-49EF-B7E5-3F7637337F85.jpg35273554-1CF8-4F7D-959F-8FA0B3FD63FF.jpg

that's what i needed. so you sanded, mounted the ground then painted over everything?

Exactly, it was a 20 min affair, I added a few coats of paint over the following days. Think I prolly threw a coat of sandable spray primer as a first coat. Used matte black paint which eventually blends in to a perfect match w/ frame

I really don't like frame grounds. I think it's much better to do a return cable for heavy or critical loads. Steel is relatively a poor conductor. and so with the 200 or so amps you will pull at full load there will be voltage potential differences on the frame. Given today's electronics and such, having devices expecting "ground" and finding a volt or so may lead to unintended results. The second issue is the battery connection to frame ground good for it?

I've seen more electrical problems caused by poor grounds than by the "hot" feed.

    YMMV

found a perfect size hole under the bed. passenger side, just forward of the tail light. i’ll hook up the inverter, make sure it all works then spray it.
