Intermittent Apple Car Play Connection

It has only happened a few times during the year I had the truck, but it is annoying. When it does this, it just acts like there is no connection, I have tried changing the cable and connecting several times. The only fix is to stop the truck, restart and usually it then connects. Anyone else have this issue?
2020 platinum crew max with JBL system.

 

I’ve had it where I connect it, but it never recognizes my iPhone, never lost a connection intermittently though.

I just unplug it and plug it back in.

 

It happens. You don’t have to turn the car off though. Just hold in the power button on the radio and it will reset itself.

 

My unit does not lose connection, just the few times it did this, the phone will not connect at all. I try to plug it in several times, the only thing that fixes it is turning off the truck and restarting.

Yup, this is what I do. Will probably install wireless CarPlay later.

 

Unlock the screen on the phone..?

 

Yup, always unlock phone before plugging it in.
