I run the MESO's as well and have the VLED footwell kit. Very happy with both.

I tried the Mesos and they were too bright.
The red lights looked too cheesy..
    I ended up selling them....YMMV

I run these in the map and dome lights.
    Amazon.com: HELLA 921LED 5K LED Performance Bulbs, 12V, 1W 2 Pack : Automotive

Just a warning on the map lights, if you take the aluminum reflector out, you'll never get it back in..:eek2:

I can't remember what I used on the front footwell.

I used these for the rear and mounted them into the console.

I have the meso map light and they are damn bright. Wife thinks they look kinda cheesy like early 90s or 2000s era, but I like em. Haven’t really used the red lights much.

    Alot of them
I don't know why Meso made those so bright. My truck came from the port with interior led lights, but I added 2 full sets of the Vleds footwill kit.

    Definitely a 90's look.

    I'm undecided on them.

ps...just saw your signature. I re-watched Pee Wee's Big Adventure last week for 20th or so time.

    He's always making things bright.

I think another variable for Tundra versions (at least for the maps) is that they have such a large real-estate space of the lens, so more diodes.

I did VLEDS everywhere. Big improvement, and I was able to avoid the funky (to me) blueish led look.

Yeah, staying in the 5500k range is where it’s at

I have Mesos and have a love hate relationship. When I need to see something in the cab there is nothing better. When I just want some light to get in and out, they are too bright. I wish we had a dimmer option and then there would be nothing better.

Hook up a generic dimmer switch to the cargo lights :hattip:

I switched from plain red LED bulbs to Meso today.
    1) they only come in “tan” plastic but it’s close enough to my gray plastic that a normal person probably wouldn’t even notice and I’ll live with it.
    2) it was difficult to remove the metal reflector from the map lights but I did okay, putting them back in would be near impossible
    3) the red is brighter than what I had before and is too bright for normal usage but I usually had them set to stay off and will likely continue that practice after the new wears off
    4) when you need bright white, it’s all there (it’s tough to get a good picture without it glaring much more than with the naked eye.

Stock. I hate LED lighting, its hard on the eyes and way too bright. They will throw off your night vision if you need to actually use them while driving. Red is okay if its an option, definitely better for night vision than super bright white LEDs. Yes I'm the guy that had a box of banned 100w incandescent light bulbs in my basement and complained when they changed my street lamps to LED. We don't need everything so damn bright, I'm constantly blinded at night by these new headlights. Yeah its great they you can see but you're blinding everyone else. ::End rant about LED bulbs:: Only good use for LEDs is flashlights and the ring around headlights during the daytime.

VLEDs 6k for everything. Nice and bright with an OEM modern look. I’d probably go with 5.5K if I did it over. I love MESO products but I think the interior lights are fugly. Reminds me of the retro toy “Lite-Brite” and I imagine it’s blinding if you had to turn on while driving.

Sylvania makes some LED 168/194 bulbs called “Zevo” that are not much brighter than incandescent but still look nice and modern.

I'm hoping I never have to make the switch, I should have enough to last me the rest of my life if these last as long as they're advertised to. The Edison bulb has worked just fine for over 100 years. The fact that we banned incandescent bulbs thinking that will somehow save the planet is hilarious.
