In my quest to upgrade to LED's here and there, I just realized I don't seem to have a glovebox light? Nor a passenger side footwell light? Maybe I need to have the truck running at night to actually test this but thought I'd ask here since so many know so much! Also does anyone have a preference on LED's to replace the cargo lamps and reverse lights (that aren't too bright/washout the crummy low res backup camera)? Thanks in advance!

There is no glovebox light (or one for the ginormous center console abyss). There’s no passenger footwell light either. Toyota cheaps out on some of the small stuff.

I just grabbed an interior LED light kit off Amazon. There’s a bunch of diff ones - they’re just interior bulbs so I don’t think it particularly matters which one you get. Just be sure to disconnect the battery before you swap them out or you’ll likely blow a fuse. It’s very easy to do - happened to me a couple times.

For passenger footwell, vleds.com has a great LED kit for that. It’s a driverside/passenger side footwell light combo. I have it works great. They have great cust svc, too.

I made my own interior light for the large center console with a switch - open console, light turns on. Close it, light turns off. If I ever get around to it I’ll post pics, parts, instructions.

To clear up potential confusion, the vleds light kit runs a wire from the driver footwell light to the passenger side. No splicing required - just plug it in. You do have to run the wire behind the center console. Nothing a coat hanger & some duct tape can’t handle though.
