So after my LED bulbs supposedly got lost by Amazon, and I requested a refund; they mysteriously showed up this afternoon. I proceeded to install them and everything was going great, till I somehow bent or broke one of the little metal bulbs contactors on my drivers side map light. Then while trying to troubleshoot and fix the the contactor I ended up blowing the fuse (I HOPE) that powers all my interior lights. :censored::frusty::frusty::frusty:. Unfortunately it’s poring down rain tonight, so everything will have to wait till tomorrow. FML

Theres a thread here a member told a funny ass story about when he messed up installing his bulbs. Someone here will know what im talking about. I cant find it because i suck at searching. I think he also made a thread about how to properly fix the problem.

The only bad thing is that you can't find that fuse by itself like in a five pack. At least I couldn't. You have to get an assortment pack. 1st world problems.

I just attempted to install these chipset lights. They are pretty much just a one for one swap with the OEM bulbs. The older bulbs were a little difficult to remove since they set somewhat recessed inside a metal tray, had to use a small pair of needle nose to remove them.

    Interior Vleds all around
I just installed all vleds into my interior yesterday and after removing the first map light, the prongs were bent so the light would not stay in. I removed the upper console to fix them and I would recommend this to everyone. Really easy to drop and will make sure nothing gets damaged as seems to be a common occurrence when installing the lights.

Also this has been my first upgrade on my tundra and I couldn’t be happier!!!

I bought some cheap led lights on Amazon too a few months ago and low and behold the $14 led’s started to fail one after another... bit the bullet and ordered them from vled’s. I didn’t run into any install issues with them thankfully and the new lights came with a 3yr warranty.

I bought the footwell lighting kit front and rear, will be installing Saturday and will post pics.

Thanks to Southboundsteve for directing me to the post with directions on dropping the overhead console. I was able to quickly drop it fix the contacts. Luckily one side was just bend to far out, so a quick fix with small needle nose pliers. All good now, but I will be looking at VLEDs in the future, especially for a floorboard light modification.
