Integrating bed step in Chrome Bumpers

Has anyone tried integrating a bed step into the chrome bumpers? similar to bed step integration on gmc/chevy bumpers.

I’m curious to try them on my chrome bumpers since they’re sitting in my garage taking up space. If i could integrate a bed step i would totally sand them down, paint them, and put them back on the truck.

I want to know if any known issues would prevent it from previous attempts by others.
