I have a 2025 Tundra I just bought and Insurance is expensive. I'll be paying 702 dollars every six months. We do have high coverage 250/500 thousand covrage which is higher than most people carry, Is my insurance high. We have State Farm. No tickets (in past 5 years) and excellent credit. State farm also covers our home and other Toyota we own. Please tell me what your insurance is and your coverage. My deductible is 500 perhaps a 1000, I'm not sure, and i live in GA

There are way too many variables to compare premiums with other members. I highly recommend shopping independent agents as well as carriers directly.

Insurance is higher on this 2025 Tundra, than my 2022 Dodge dually Limited with LOW miles, and it cost MORE money new. I think someone at State Farm is jealous of me paying cash. They don't know if I didn't borrow the money against my house or a personal loan. Good Grief! Oh, I sold my Dodge for 70 grand because the wife can not drive a dually and turned around and bought this.

that's cheap compared to CA :) I pay more for a 2012 here. Seems it goes up every year even though my truck gets older...

I'm glad you like California but honestly that's not apples to apples. lol I'm sure the weather is nice there. At least I am told that. I'm afraid the wife and I could not afford that place on our retirement pay.

^ this. They are all horrendously overpriced now though. Can you even buy a basic car with minimal features for under $28,000 now? And depending on where you live, there's probably a lot of motorists without insurance driving around, gotta pay for them too unfortunately.

No joke. I pay more for my '13 than I did when I bought it new. Same coverage, same driver, same clean history.

In 2016, I was paying under $500 a year for full coverage on a new 2016 Tundra and a Saturn Outlook (GMC Acadia) in North Carolina. When I moved across the border to South Carolina my premium doubled.

We’ve been pretty fortunate with reasonable auto premiums. Our most recent renewal was about $2700 for the year for full coverage on a Tundra and 4Runner; plus liability only on the same old Saturn that our son now drives. He and the Saturn account for half of that premium. FWIW, Progressive through an independent agent. Haven’t been an able to find another policy that can even come close to that in the past 5 years. I shop around before renewing every policy.

homeowners insurance is another story. We’ve seen 20% annual increases for the past few years.

700 for 6 months? I don’t think I’ve ever had it that cheap. I have a lead foot and have since I was 16. That said I’m paying 240 a month for both my vehicles. Tundra full coverage 500 deductible and 4Runner liability.

Well I'm old 75 and a perfect driving record PLUS we hardly drive. I mean my Tundra is sitting in my alamed 24x30 garage, Another thing is this is higher than my 2022 Dodge Dually Limited, HIGHER than a 108 thouand dollar truck. I paid 68 OTD (out the door) for my 1694 Tundra. I think I should shop around .. ??? Thank all of ya'll for the input. 14 hundred a year is NOT cheap FYI PLUS no one has mentioned their coverage. I have high coverage. 250/500 thousand coverage

OP sounds like you could comfortably swing much more than your paying for insurance. Pay it, drive it, don't worry about the 200 bucks a year difference in insurance by shopping around.

I mean, it depends on a buncha factors. Where you live, how old you are, your record, etc.

I personally have Erie Insurance; we *used* to pay like $1300/year for full coverage for two vehicles (2020 Tundra, 2022 4Runner), $500 deductible, 200/300/200 coverage.

I say *used* to pay because now our son is on there...so it shot up to like $2900 a year. Which actually ain't bad at all, but it's not cheap. LOL

We almost bought a Tesla in 2018, at that time Elon offered free charging. We backed out at the last minute. You are correct. Insuring a electric can is VERY expensive. Much more than one of these Tundra's. One reason we backed out. We love the model X though. I only think electric when I filled up. I'm getting 14 mpg so it's not what I thought I would get. I think, I won't shop around, one fellow said it right. Pay the extra not worth 200 dollars to swith. I think Progressive Insurance is a tad cheaper.

What's there to brag about? I had no ideal people where paying more. I just bought this Tundra earlier this month, if you read everything I had written, my insurance on this Tundra is higher than my 2022 Dodge Dually Limited and the Dodge cost 30 thousand more. That's why I started this Tread.

I suspect places like California, New Jersey, New York is very high. We moved to Georgia and our insurance went up. We moved from Va. Beach. Go figure

You guys make me laugh. I pay 430.00 a month

    Mustang
    GMC HD
    Subaru
    Corolla

Once my daughter is added to the policy it will be an additional 200.00 per month.

Well adding a child is much more expensive. We got sued 5 years ago and it's not fun. So after that we upped our coverage to 250/500. Being sued at our age is draining. I should sue her. My wife had a head on collision with our Avalon, total both cars. I don't know how our 50/100 thousand covered everything but it did. The lady finally gave up but Geico did provide us with a good Lawyer. We just got acciedent forgiveness. They did go up after that ordeal. Good grief that was 2020. My wife's fault too.

People are posting what they pay but not their coverage. Coverage is important.

    She isn't added yet.

We have been sued but won. We carry 500k across the board and a 1.5M umbrella policy on top of that.

Insurance in Colorado is just expensive. I retired a few coworkers that moved to TN and she pays half of the premiums from CO. Another moved to FL and his insurance is more expensive than CO.

I never knew about an umbrella policy until we got sued. We carry a million dollars worth for 400 a year. Southern Ga is where we live.

Unfortunately, most people don't have an umbrella policy until needed.

Well that' right, like I said we never thought about it until we was sued. Our lawyer mentioned it.
