Bought my first 2016 Tundra Limited used from a Honda dealership last week. They had to take the dash apart and replace the heater box to fix the heat since that wasn’t working and I just noticed today the instrument panel reinforcement bolt on passenger side door jamb is stacked with washers. I’m not sure if they just used something lying around the shop or what. My question is can I just remove this and replace it with the factory bolt?

    Thanks!

I would try the factory bolt. Hopefully they didn’t enlarge the hole to fit the washers. BTW this is really shoddy workmanship. Wonder if they did this anywhere else under the dash.

I agree, this is petty bad. The bottom bolt has a washer that spins freely and it looks like the drivers side doesn’t even have a bolt now.

OK that helps a lot. So drivers side looks ok based on your pics. I guess I’ll order the bolt for the passenger side and hope they didn’t make it worse. I really appreciate the responses and the pics.
