Like many here, my 2021 stock brake controller (with tow package) is not able to sufficiently apply the brakes to my trailer, so I'm going with a Prodigy P3. I see there isn't an available plug and play wiring harness for my configuration and I wanted to ask if anyone here has done this mod and could point to any good instructions/videos for the install.

It seems I should be able to tap into the existing IBC wiring by possibly removing some of the cable sheath near the existing plug using some t-tap wire connectors. Of course that assumes I can identify which wires go where - blue brake connection, red brake switch, black to 12v, and white to ground ( maybe the color coding is the same on Toyota?). I also need to know if I need to actually disconnect the OEM controller, or if I can just disable it in the vehicle settings.

Does anyone have any links to doing a similar install? Most info on Tundras I can find is for prior models or using a custom wiring harness.

    Thx
