Can you give us more detail on how you installed this? I am assuming you removed the factory sub and used the speaker wires from that to hook up to the new sub/amp and then ran the power wire to the battery? Any issues with the install or things you would do differently?

I didn’t have a factory sub in my truck, but the install was very straight forward: I did run a heavy gauge power wire from the battery and the rest of the hookups were achieved through tapping into the wiring at the factory amp, under the seat. I used a LOC and grounded at the rear of the truck. Can’t think of anything I would have done differently. It came out as planned.

If I remember correctly, it was between 2.5”-3”. The subwoofer has a lip all the way around, which allows it to sit on top of the carpet and foam this also provides an air gap of about 0.5”-0.75”. This keeps the sub from having any contact points with metal or any other hard surface that makes it a vibration-free install.
