I recently installed BullRings in my stake holes and I had a hard time finding info on where exactly to cut. I took some photos with measurements, so hopefully this helps someone.

BullRing sells a router bit that has four bearings at the bottom. The goal is to cut out the hole without hitting the metal.

I pried up the rail covers to roughly mark the centers, drilled out a hole with a step bit, then used the router to clear them out. I have a BAKFlip tonneau cover so the router wouldn't sit flat for portions of the cut, but I made it work.
