Just got my Tundra and I just noticed the 8 snaps on the tailgate, inside bed.
Any idea what they are for?

But they look like snaps. I was thinking maybe a snap on seat pad for "Tailgating"

I am sure that there is multiple uses that you could use them for. To truly check it out I would remove and see what you could add. Maybe longer snaps could add padding for seats, or other options like tailgate step assist. Folds up on the tail gait but can be unfolded into a step to help step into the bed. These things are great for modifications.

Those aren't snaps, they're button head screws.

Torx screws for access to the lock. I made a strap out of an old tie down and mounted it using two of those screws. So if you’re inside the truck and want to shut the gate it’s easier.96737261-7A20-4804-B77C-5CDC79FA375F.jpg

You are correct.....didn't really look that closely until now. They looked like snaps from far away and at night.

    Thanks

Now that is using your head for something besides a hat rack. That was a good idea!!

I use it everyday almost. If the truck is clean and I’m trying to not touch the paint or close it with one hand, it helps a-lot. I try to not touch the paint unless im cleaning the truck.
