So I'm thinking about replacing my current 10-year-old Sierra. I'm looking for a 2WD EC which is not the most common configuration, but I'm willing to go just about anywhere to get a good price. What do you all think is the best website to search for pricing and existing inventory nation-wide? Is seems that most sites that I have used can't make the distinction between EC and Crew which means I have to visually look at every picture and try to determine which it is. Which sites do most dealers use? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Toyota's nomenclature is Double Cab (DC) and Crew Max (CM), have you tried using those in your search criteria?

Thanks, I'll try using Double Cab as a keyword.

By the way, prices are going up as inventory is low, and dealers arent budging. You are looking right at $40K for a 2wd DC SR5 model.

Yes, I'm acutely aware of that, hoping their production is back up so the supply increases and the weak economy will suppress the demand a bit so inventories will get back to more normal levels before they stop making the 2020s.

The prices will not drop. I have talked to several and they all said that they were informed by Toyota that they wont. If you look or call, Toyota has very recently removed some of its incentives and discounts.

I'm sure if I were a Toyota salesman, I would say the same thing. Basic economics, it'll depend on the supply/demand.

The demand here is extremely high. It comes down to if you want a truck right now, it's going to cost us big time due to the demand.

This. I originally thought that I sort of hosed myself over, when I bought one in March. Turns out that was one of the BEST times to handle things....at that point, sales had fallen through the floor, and there was a nice supply of trucks.

When I bought my truck, there were like 21 Tundras on the lot. Now? There are THREE.
