I just want to improve my road ride without lifting my truck. How do I get better damping and overall comfort.

Your limited model probably has the black shocks. Those do not dampen very well, can make the truck feel like a boat and they generally get even worse by 40-50k miles.

Either the TRD sport shock (red/blue) or the Off Road package shocks(yellow/blue) will improve dampening. If you need something firmer than those then the non toyota, generic Bilstein 4600 shock is good.

Smaller wheel diameter gives more sidewall on the tire. Equals more cushion.

Thanks. Just hit 33K. I’m looking for a calm thump thump when I hit a pothole or imperfections in the road. If I upgraded my shocks do I need to follow with a more progressive leaf pack? I’m a little frustrated. My 06 dc x-sp towed better than my 2018 and it was on 275/60 R20s. I dreamed about getting a 3rd gen truck for 10 long years only to be disappointed.

Another vote for the 4600's. I enjoy my ride with them but I don't tow.

The Falcon shocks from Teraflex have smoothed the ride out a lot. You still feel things, but they eat all the harshness of bumps and bounces. they are not cheap, but they are bad ass IMO.

Lots of that is those black shocks, they are really soft. The factory OR or sport package shocks are much better. And for overall handling, you may want to consider adding the TRD rear sway bar, great upgrade for about $200.

I went to Dobinson's leaf packs, Ironman greasable shackles, and Bilstein 5160's. Huge difference in the ride.

Chris, you almost always have something new to recommend for these questions. I checked out the Sulastic shackles on their site. Do you use them? Have they affected anything other than smoothing out bigger bumps the way the video described?

I do not use them due to ride quality of my truck since I mostly drive when loaded anyway (tow only).

I do have a friend that has them on their F-250 and it was night and day difference in ride quality.
