I have a 2000 Toyota Tundra with 3"s of lift on 33 and I'm wanting to do a solid axle swap. Anyone know where I can find a conversion kit for this truck. 20180917_172400.jpg 20180917_172400.jpg 32567.jpg

    Welcome.

I haven’t read or heard of any sas kits for the 1st gens. @ethan1911 has done the swap on his 06 double cab and could possibly be of some help.

No one makes a kit for the Tundra. I've been researching this myself as I'm in the process of SASing my 4Runner currently. I'm looking at using a TG Tacoma SAS kit and widening it.

Johns Industries made me a custom 9" for my Camaro. Lynn is my contact there. 800 332 3450, Tech line 906 265 9999 I believe that they can make anything. There will be a spec sheet to fill out of dimensions you need. Just a phone call away. Good luck and welcome aboard.

    Welcome from CO.

    Some questions for you:

-What's the goal in building this? Looks, function, or ??

    -Tire size?

-Do you have the axle(s) already? Just an FYI, best to have same lug bolt pattern on all 4...trust me.

-Plans for 4wd engagement? Or are you planning on running an aftermarket transfer case?

-Wheel speed sensors? what's your plan with those?

There is a lot that goes into a SAS. Great thing is you are a fabricator. You will need these skills.

My advice to you is get a plan together, and get the parts needed first. Then start your build.

D-44 will work and help with clearance issues, and get a D44 with flat top knuckles. You will thank me later when you start tackling your steering.

Steering box and is your current pump flow enough to run this new system? Hydro assist? (good idea) So you will have to drill and tap the box.

Links or leaf springs? Leaf springs work, but links are the way to go. Spendy, and it will cost in CO shocks, straps and bumps. SO WORTH IT!

Some of the ones we had fun with in the past:
