Hi all. Im new to the forum. I have a 2008 Sequoia Limited 2WD 5.7 L Trans AB60E that has a OBD Code P2714 Solenoid "D" stuck off position. Searching the web for help. I changed the output speed sensor for a trouble code of PO722 and the idiot lights went out. The next step is to change the filter, flush the system, change the trans oil cooler and keep my fingers crossed. Based on the OBD code P2714 I purchased a solenoid not sure if its the correct item. There are too many youtube videos and parts numbers on auto zone and o'reilly's some list the trans code and some do not. Its also hard to find the location of the solenoid in the transmission based on the year, engine, and trans model of a AB60E.

any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was researching the web prior to joining this forum.

Drain and fill before doing anything. Drain and fill the next couple of oil changes to clear out most of the old fluid. Filter is fine no need to replace. I did it since I had already bought it. I can show you some pics of what it looks like after 270k. Technically new.

This. Look up the drain and fill procedure here, but basically there are two "drain plugs" on the bottom of the transmission pan - one 14mm (I think) bolt to actually drain the fluid, and a second 4mm (again, I think) hex key to verify fluid level after refilling. The fill plug is a 24mm (this time I'm pretty sure it's 24 mm) plug on the driver side of the transmission to fill with fluid. I snake some tubing down from the engine bay with a funnel connected at the top, then pour fresh fluid from front of the vehicle. I also recommend using WS fluid (Toyota, Aisin, Idementsu are the most popular) rather than a generic fitzallbutnone fluid, but that's just my opinion. You will need about 4 quarts.

    Welcome to the site.

14mm drain bolt and 5mm hex. If you have a transmission cooler, pin that. Passenger side, just forward of the pan. Hockey puck with hoses. There is a nut with small holes push the center in and slide a small cotter pin.
