Anyone added the illuminated visors to their tundra? If so did you have to run wire and tap power and if so where did you tap?

looking at adding them if it’s an easy enough mod.

anyone know if the 2014+ model visors would work?

Well the answer to the question is yes they can be added but they’re not prewired (in my truck at least) in case anyone else was wondering the same thing.

Ended up finding a good deal on a set of the dual illuminated visors so picked them up.

I just tapped into power source from the rear view mirror connector.

I haven’t looked, but I wonder if an SR5 trim would be prewired?

Possibly, mines just the base model. It was prewired for the rear view mirror and info button though.

Yea one’s positive and ones negative, not sure which is which though. The first one I hooked up worked right away, the second one I guessed wrong and had to flip the wires.

Check the polarity with a battery first and mark one of the wires.

there’s a plastic cover that gets removed in the corner of visor, where’s it’s mounted to ceiling. Once that piece is off, you will see 3 screws. Remove those and it will come right off
