I am looking to upgrade my suspension, and I am really liking the icon stage 6 with billet UCA. I would be spending most of my time on regular roads but plan on doing some off-roading maybe 8-10 trips a year (class 1-4 maybe 5 maximum). Also I tow an enclosed trailer (6000lbs max loaded) 2-3 times a month for which I was planning on getting airbags for (if needed). My local shop recommended that I get a similar setup for $100 more but with Kings, Camburg UCA, & Rear Shackles. Now I am completely torn between the two setups and don’t know which setup I should go with.

I am riding on a leveling kit right now with 20” wheels and 33” tires. And yes it rides like crap!

    PLEASE HELP!!!

There are a ton of options, you are looking at 2 good setups. I have the Icon 2.5 shocks and coilovers w/o resi, Icon tubular UCA, and Toytec shackles. The only thing i regret is not getting the billet UCA for the adjustability. That would be my recommendation, spend the money and get either the Icon Billet or Camburg Kinetik UCA. I have seen posts recently that there is a 12-16 week wait on King shocks, but let your shop confirm.

@Cfincke Thanks! I actually don’t mind the wait, as I am not planing on doing a run anytime soon. I am more concerned with the ride quality and durability. People make it sound as if the icons will start leaking or even break within a month of having them. Also I keep hearing things like the kings ride a lot smoother, how much of a smoother ride are we talking??

You can get a set of Kings and Camburg UCA’s for $3,500. Give or take on shipping is free and taxes in your area. The way you utilize your truck, you don’t need the compression adjusters. Order from a company that does valving to your driving. It will be better than the generic valving out of the box from King.

I never had Icon on any of my trucks. Mostly King’s with acception of Fox, ADS and Bilstein Blackhawks.
